Paul Pattinson


For the last 25 years Paul has been in private practice advising businesses on all aspects of intellectual property exploitation, from licensing patents in screen technology to copyright and passing off battles between magazine publishers.  For many years he was the head of DLA Piper’s Technology, Media and Commercial  Division in London.

At NML he has been particularly involved, and so has a wealth of experience to share, in advising leading consumer and B2B magazine publishers on the buying and selling of media businesses, and the contracts involved in the running of both print and digital publishing businesses, starting with the creation of content all the way through to the distribution of the final products to the public.
